The Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce & Industry is an autonomous institution enjoying its own legal entity to represent the activities of the private sector in the Abu Dhabi Emirate. All natural and legal persons, having their headquarters, branch or representation office in the Emirate to exercise any commercial, industrial, vocational or professional activity in the Emirate must join the Chamber. Members are kept updated on how to take advantage of the Chamber’s services and available information. They are also well apprised of the Chamber’s regular and occasional functions or events, as well as of its tasks and duties in general. Through such data and information, the Chamber members can participate in various domestic and international functions through which they may be better able to introduce their companies or products. Such problems are usually discussed in a bid to find appropriate solutions. Recommendations seeking that end may, thereafter be presented to competent authorities requesting required actions to be taken whenever necessary. Ever since its inception in 1969, the Chamber discussed economic laws and legislation that regulated the economic performance in the Emirate. Being a member in the Federation of the U.A.E. Chambers of Commerce & Industry, the Chamber could play a significant role in discussing and drafting such laws and regulations on the U.A.E. level. The Chamber also has a branch office in Al-Ain city. The said branch is meeting the demands of the business community in Al-Ain and offers them whatever services or information they need.
AmCham Abu Dhabi
Since 1996, AmCham Abu Dhabi has worked diligently to increase trade and investment between the U.S.A. and the Emirate of Abu Dhabi. American Business Council of Dubai and the Northern Emirates
The American Business Council of Dubai (ABC) and the Northern Emirates is a non-profit voluntary association of individuals and companies promoting the development of commerce between the United States and the U.A.E. The ABC is a chapter of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce and provides a networking facility for its members. The ABC works closely with the U.A.E. community on matters of mutual awareness and works to heighten Dubai’s commercial position in the Middle East among the American business community.
The Dubai Chamber of Commerce & Industry

The Emirates Business Women Council
The role of the working woman in the United Arab Emirates has grown considerably recently, particularly in the trade and investment fields, despite all the difficult circumstances that have hampered the development of businesswomen and their participation in certain works that have been exclusively done by men only.
This has stressed the necessity to adopt the idea of supporting woman’s affairs as well as the fields of her commercial and investment work and exerting diligent efforts to help her, not only because she is a businesswoman but also because she represents a major and efficient contribution to the national economy, the development of which has become a direct duty and responsibility of U.A.E. citizens in a bid to keep pace with the changes taking place worldwide.
On top of the list of those who have called for encouraging and supporting women in the U.A.E. come President His Highness Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan and his wife Her Highness Sheikha Fatima Bint Mubarak, Chairwoman of the Women Association.
Most importantly, the members benefit from developing relations at the level of individuals and establishments and this is highly important for developing relations for the growth of all fields thanks to the woman’s special abilities and skills of establishing and strengthening public relations.
This, in turn, will undoubtedly lead to a high level of quality and efficiency.
Sharjah Chamber of Commerce & Industry
The role of the chamber is represented in cooperation and coordination with the concerned establishments and bodies and the chambers of commerce and its federations in and out of the country with the aim of serving the members and growing and developing their trade relations in addition to enhancement of economic activity while moving to higher and better standard.
The Sharjah Chamber of Commerce & Industry while moving to the end of its fourth decade and despite its short period of time has accomplished as an independent establishment many achievements and objects in organizing many matters of trade, industry and professions. The chamber due to the nature of its work has given many points of views and ideas on economic matters, reflected the ideas of the private sector establishments, made many proposals about setting of economic projects and legislations related to commercial and industrial affairs and contributed in the collection of information and data, making statistics and studying the fields sharing in its activation, protection and launching investment opportunities to it.
The role of the chamber extends to protection of its members by making them known internally and externally, facilitating their trade dealings that include the attestation of certificates of origin, the invoices of goods, sponsors’ certificates, financial ability, verifying signatures of companies registered owners and their representatives and other types of trade and industrial certificates. The chamber has also resolved their commercial disputes and differences through reconciliation and even commercial arbitration in addition to its effective participation in identifying trade customs and nomination of experts and representatives to study trade and industry related matters. The chamber as part of its believe in the importance of direct meetings between all economic sectors has made economic conferences, exhibitions and international bazaars, receiving international commercial delegations that include businessmen, economists, sending trade delegations out of the country and keenness to open trade centres and setting trade exhibitions for Sharjah in some friendly states in addition to economic and investment promotion and encouraging countries to establish trade centres and permanent exhibitions in the UAE in general and Sharjah in particular.
