Business Council President, Danny Sebright partnered on April 7th to host a reception in honor of the visit to the U.A.E. of Representative Eddie Bernice Johnson, and Delegation from the Committee on Transportation and Infrastructure, U.S. House of Representatives.

This event was part of the U.S.-U.A.E. Council’s efforts to promote bilateral trade ties and raise awareness of the benefits of the economic relationship between the two countries.

Consul General Sutphin welcomed the Congressional Delegation at his home for the event.  He emphasized that as a nation the U.A.E. has become the center of globalization and international trade in the Middle East and a new hub between East and West.  This expansion reflects the fast pace of U.A.E. economic growth in recent years and the increasingly diversified U.A.E. economy.

The Congressional Delegation was told at the reception that the U.S.-U.A.E. economic and commercial relationship will only deepen further in the coming years given the U.A.E.’s growing status as a regional business powerhouse.

George Dalton a member of the U.S.-U.A.E.
