The U.S.-U.A.E. Business Council invites you to attend a conversation with Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense for the Middle East Dana Stroul at 2:30pm EST on Wednesday March 15th at the Akin Gump Offices at 2001 K Street NW.
DASD Stroul will discuss the latest developments in the U.S.-U.A.E. defense and security relationship, including progress on the Strategic Framework Agreement, as well as policy priorities for the U.A.E. and the wider MENA region for the year ahead.
DASD Stroul will also share insights from her January 2023 trip to the U.A.E., where she attended the inaugural Negev Forum, which seeks to bring together Israel and the Arab States for regional integration and cooperation including in defense and security.
In addition, U.S. defense executives will have the opportunity to discuss the outcomes of the February 20-24 Abu Dhabi International Defense Exhibition (IDEX) and offer insights to DASD Stroul regarding their priorities for the MENA region.
DASD Stroul and her team lead the development of Department of Defense policy and strategy for the MENA region. She was previously a fellow at The Washington Institute for Near East Policy and also served as a senior professional staff member on the Senate Foreign Relations Committee.
