The U.S.-U.A.E. Business Council invites you to register your interest in attending a luncheon conversation at 12:30 pm EST on Tuesday March 21st in Washington, D.C. with Assistant Secretary Arun Venkataraman, who serves as Assistant Secretary for Global Markets at the U.S. Department of Commerce and Director General of the U.S. and Foreign Commercial Service.
Assistant Secretary Venkataraman will share insights from his recent meetings in the U.A.E. this January. He will review the International Trade Administration’s policy priorities for the U.A.E. market, specifically including those in the digital domain. Moreover, he will discuss opportunities for enhanced trade and investment between the U.S. and the U.A.E., building on the $27.8 billion in total trade between the two countries in 2022.
U.S. President Joe Biden appointed Mr. Venkataraman as Assistant Secretary of Commerce for Global Markets and Director General of the U.S. and Foreign Commercial Service in 2022, charging him with leading the U.S. federal government’s efforts to promote exports abroad and attract inward investment.
