On January 15th, 2020, the U.S. Department of State announced the participation of the United States in Expo 2020 Dubai, the next World’s Fair and the first in the Middle East. the USA Pavilion welcomed 1.2 million visitors and guests. he U.S.-U.A.E. Business Council generated 10% of the total attendees that participated in Pavilion events.

The U.S.-U.A.E. Business Council has championed Expo 2020 Dubai since Dubai first announced its intention in 2011 to bid on Expo 2020. The U.S.-U.A.E. Business Council hosted 10 events at the USA Pavilion throughout the course of Expo 2020. The Council organized dedicated industry discussions in parallel with Expo theme weeks focused on the future of a number of critical areas such as water, education, space, mobility, and energy.
