The U.S.-U.A.E. Business Council invites you to attend a reception in honor of Mike Dunleavy, Governor of Alaska, at 6:00 pm GST on Monday, January 13th, 2025. This event will take place in the Center Cut room of the Ritz Carlton DIFC Hotel in Dubai.
Governor Dunleavy is leading a delegation from Alaska to the U.A.E. to discuss Alaska’s wealth of resources and exports, including critical minerals. The Governor and his delegation will engage a number of stakeholders in the U.A.E. during their visit to discuss investment in the areas of energy, construction, mining, technology, airport cargo, and logistics.
Mike Dunleavy was first elected as Governor of Alaska in 2018 and then again in 2022, making him the first Republican Governor in Alaska to win re-election since 1978. Governor Dunleavy keeps the health of the economy and jobs at the forefront of his Administration’s policy setting initiatives and has been a true champion for the Alaskan business community. Prior to becoming Governor of Alaska, Governor Dunleavy spent nearly two decades in northwest Arctic communities working as a teacher, principal, and superintendent.
