Wissam F. Rose joined the U.S.-U.A.E. Business Council as Senior Advisor of Media and Communications in February 2022.
Wissam comes with 16 years of broadcast and digital media production and journalism. She has led teams to launch new channels, create major content, and produce live coverages for networks in Lebanon, the U.A.E., Qatar, and Washington, D.C. In 2013 she was chosen by the Broadcasting Board of Governors to be one of three individuals to produce a Congressionally funded signature live show that airs in the Middle East and North Africa in Arabic.
Prior to joining the Council, Wissam earned her graduate degree with distinction from Georgetown University’s Walsh School of Foreign Service focusing her research on GCC states’ economic models and influence, displacement, and gender equality in the Arab world. She also holds two bachelor’s degrees in Publicity and Public Relations from Université Libanaise in Beirut. Wissam speaks Arabic, English, French and is currently studying Farsi.
Wissam is married to a Senior Advisor in the U.S. Government and has one child. She dedicates much of her free time to mentoring Arab women on ways to break societal and gendered inequalities.
