U.S.-U.A.E. Business Council Hosts Briefing with ADNOC Chief Investment Officer

The U.S.-U.A.E. Business Council hosted a private discussion in Abu Dhabi with Mr. Michele Fiorentino, Chief Investment Officer of ADNOC, and key executives from member companies attending ADIPEC.

During this discussion, Mr. Fiorentino provided an overview of ADNOC’s future investment strategy and focus, both in the U.A.E. and the United States.

Mr. Fiorentino also offered a status update on the reorganization of ADNOC as spearheaded by Dr. Sultan Ahmed Al Jaber, Chief Executive Officer of The ADNOC Group, and the company’s heightened focus on driving efficiencies.

Mr. Fiorentino focused part of his discussion on the importance of partnerships from an upstream, midstream, and downstream perspective.

He was clear that while ADNOC is currently primarily focused inward, it is coordinating carefully with key Abu Dhabi-based sovereign wealth funds for outward investment.

Following his remarks, U.S. executives asked Mr. Fiorentino about future IPOs, ADNOC’s new corporate culture, and its priorities for technology investments.
