The National Defense Industrial Association (NDIA), in partnership with the U.S.-U.A.E. Business Council and the Embassy of The United Arab Emirates Commercial Trade Office, will lead a U.S. Department of Commerce certified U.S. Aerospace & Defense Trade Mission to the U.A.E. from October 2nd-7th, 2010.  Delegation participants will represent American business in the aerospace, defense, and IT security/infrastructure sectors.  Please see the event flier for registration and logistical details.

This trade mission will assist participants create new and strengthen existing relationships between U.S. aerospace and defense SME supplier companies and their Emirati counterparts.  The U.S.-U.A.E. aerospace and defense relationship has generated over $15 billion in procurements and investments since 2007 and will increase significantly over the next five years.  Strengthening this relationship is an essential component to the expansion of the overall bi-lateral trade relationship and will directly sustain and create new American jobs.

The key objectives for the mission will be to:

  • Survey opportunities for US aerospace & defense products
  • Educate participants about the legal and regulatory framework for doing business in the U.A.E.
  • Connect participants with Tier 1 aerospace & defense contractors in the U.A.E.
  • Enable networking and relationship building with potential partners and/or customers.
