With our Founding Board member, Morgan Stanley, the U.S.-U.A.E. Business Council was proud to support this year’s MountainFilm on Tour ATL, which took place the weekend of August 22-23, 2014.  MountainFilm on Tour is a weekend-long celebration of short films that inspire, entertain, and educate us about the world and our place in it.  Through sponsorship, the Business Council provided support that allowed for 300 children to take part in the event in Atlanta, Georgia.

The U.S.-U.A.E. Business Council’s sponsorship allowed for 300 children to take
part in Mountainfilm on Tour ATL 2014, which took place from August 22-23.

In its mission, Mountainfilm is “dedicated to educating, inspiring and motivating audiences about issues that matter, cultures worth exploring, environments worth preserving, adventures worth pursuing, and conversations worth sustaining.” Atlanta joined the Mountainfilm in Telluride family in September of 2013 with the launch of Mountainfilm on Tour ATL at the Plaza Theatre.

Dedicated to environmental sustainability, Mountainfilm on Tour ATL, is a ‘green’ event which promotes sustainability, recycling, and reusability. Committed to supporting local initiatives that align with the Mountainfilm mission to actively seek education, inspiration, and motivation regarding cultural and environmental issues, a portion of the proceeds and donations made to Mountainfilm on Tour ATL in 2014 will benefit Chattahoochee Riverkeeper, Captain Planet Foundation, and Trees Atlanta.

The next Mountainfilm on Tour ATL will take place August 21-22, 2015.
