The United Arab Emirates (U.A.E.) remains the U.S.’ top export destination for the entire Middle East North Africa (MENA) region for the sixth year in a row, according to the U.S. Census Bureau’s Foreign Trade Division.
The United States and United Arab Emirates (U.A.E.) shared $24.9 billion in overall trade in 2014— down 6.8% ($1.83 billion) since 2013.
The report also indicated that U.S. exports to the U.A.E. reached $22.11 billion— 9.5% ($2.3 billion) less than 2013’s numbers.
2014 U.A.E. exports to the U.S. increased to $2.8 billion – an increase of 22.3% since 2013 ($2.29 billion).
The highest month for U.S. exports to the U.A.E. last year was December 2014 at $2.1 billion, which was +7.7% higher than December 2013.
2014 U.S. export numbers to the U.A.E. continued to exceed outgoing American products to other key regional trade partners last year, including: Kingdom of Saudi Arabia ($18.68 billion), India ($21.63 billion), Israel ($15.07 billion), Turkey ($11.66 billion), and Egypt ($6.49 billion).
