The Global Ethical Finance Initiative (GEFI) and Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC) are hosting the second in a series of Path to COP28 – Sustainable Finance Summits – on 7 June 2023. The Sustainable Finance Summits are among the several initiatives by DIFC designed to connect industry experts to discuss the future of finance as the U.A.E. prepares to welcome the world to COP28 later this year. 

This edition takes place six months before COP28 and will cover topics such as: financing the just transition; countdown to COP28 – climate aware investing; how sustainable finance can help decarbonize the real economy; and understanding how to finance nature.

Promising an impressive lineup of industry speakers and authors, this edition includes Nick Robins, Author and Professor at London School of Economics and Satya Tripathi, Secretary General, Global Alliance for a Sustainable Planet and Former UN Assistant Secretary General.

With a laser focus on sustainable finance, DIFC’s “Path to COP28” program will drive change across the world’s financial industry relating to delivering net zero; unlocking Islamic finance; and financing the sustainable development goals.
