The U.S.-U.A.E. Business Council, in partnership with AmCham Abu Dhabi, invites you to a conversation on Thursday, April 2 at 10:00 AM EST/ 6:00 PM GST with U.S. Assistant Secretary of Commerce and Director General of the United States and Foreign Commercial Service David L. Fogel. This event will be hybrid with the option to attend an in-person meeting in Washington, D.C. or the option to join virtually by viewing over Zoom.

As the region navigates heightened geopolitical tensions, the U.S.-U.A.E. commercial partnership continues to demonstrate resilience, adaptability, and strategic depth. The U.A.E. Ambassador to the United States, H.E. Yousef Al Otaiba, has reaffirmed the U.A.E.’s commitment to invest $1.4 trillion in the United States over the next decade, while key bilateral initiatives–including the U.S.-U.A.E. AI Acceleration Partnership–continue at pace.

Topics of discussion may include:

  • The strength and durability of the U.S.-U.A.E. commercial relationship amid regional instability
  • Business resilience and continuity for U.S. companies operating in the U.A.E.
  • Recent trade continuing to rank the U.A.E. as the largest importer of U.S. goods in the region.
  • U.S. government support to the Emirati and American business communities
  • Outlook for bilateral trade, investment, and sectoral cooperation

Please join us for this off the record discussion to hear Assistant Secretary Fogel’s insights and have the opportunity to ask the U.S. Commerce team questions.  For questions about this specific event, please contact Maggie Paddock at mpaddock@usuaebusiness.org.
