U.S.-U.A.E. Business Council members join H.E. Dr. Ali Rashid Al Nuaimi for discussion.

H.E. Dr. Ali Rashid Al Nuaimi, Chairman of the Defense, Interior, and Foreign Affairs Committee in the U.A.E. Federal National Council (FNC), hosted a private dinner at his farm in Abu Dhabi on Sunday, June 28, 2026, for the U.S. members of the U.S.-U.A.E. Business Council’s Board of Directors. 

The intimate gathering brought together 40 senior executives from the Council’s membership for a discussion on regional developments, the U.S.-U.A.E. strategic partnership, and opportunities to deepen commercial cooperation.

Key Themes: 

  • U.S.-U.A.E. Relationship: H.E. Dr. Al Nuaimi stated that U.S.-U.A.E. ties have never been stronger and that the U.A.E. is doubling down on its partnership with the U.S.
  • Resiliency: H.E. Dr. Al Nuaimi outlined the U.A.E.’s responses to Iranian aggression and noted that U.A.E. defense, security, and police forces have kept the people safe and have proven the resilience of the Emirati model. 
  • Optimism: His Excellency spoke at length about what the next period of time under the MoU between the U.S. and Iran might be like. He emphasized the Emirati leadership’s creative, far-sighted thinking that has supported the country’s unique model of growth and stated his optimism for business opportunities in the region and globally utilizing the U.A.E. as a platform. 

In all of his remarks, H.E. Dr. Al Nuaimi emphasized that the U.A.E. remains forward-looking, committed to regional stability, economic growth, and long-term strategic cooperation.

A Dialogue with Business Leaders
The discussion also provided Council members with an opportunity to exchange views directly with His Excellency on:

  • The impact of regional tensions on business confidence and investment;
  • The U.A.E.’s role as a stable and reliable commercial hub;
  • New priorities in infrastructure, building redundancy, and creating alternative supply and transport routes in the months ahead. 
  • How American businesses can help and take advantage of partnership opportunities. 

H.E. Dr. Al Nuaimi: A Leader in Foreign Affairs

H.E. Dr. Ali Rashid Al Nuaimi is a leading Emirati parliamentarian, educator, and expert on international affairs. In addition to serving as Chairman of the Defense, Interior, and Foreign Affairs Committee in the Federal National Council, he has played a prominent role in education reform, counter-extremism, interfaith dialogue, and global parliamentary diplomacy. He currently serves as Chairman of the International Steering Board of Hedayah, the International Center of Excellence for Countering Extremism and Violent Extremism based in Abu Dhabi.
