The U.A.E. Embassy in Washington, DC and The U.A.E. Air Force will hostes an invitation only VIP screening of a film about the F-16 Desert Falcons, a documentary that highlights the U.A.E.’s inaugural participation last year at Red Flag – the world’s premier aerial combat training exercise. The F-16 Block 60, also known as the Desert Falcon, is the world’s most technologically advanced F-16, designed by Lockheed Martin and operated exclusively by the U.A.E. Air Force.

Created in 1975, Red Flag is hosted by the U.S. Air Force at Nellis Air Force Base in Nevada. The U.S. and its allies—less than 30 countries have been invited to participate—train together as a team in realistic war games. The best of the best are invited to partake in dogfights and bomb exercises conducted over the 15,000 square mile Nevada Test and Training Range north of Las Vegas.

For more information on the U.A.E. Desert Falcon and their participation at Red Flag I encourage you to visit the Desert Falcon website at http://www.desertfalcons.ae/en/ .  The film was also screened last week in Abu Dhabi at a lavish premier under the patronage of HH General Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed at the Emirates Palace Hotel and is being used a major new recruitment aid by the U.A.E Air Force.
