“The U.A.E. is America’s largest source of foreign investment from the Middle East, and the eighth fastest-growing source of foreign direct investment (FDI) in the United States. Emirati investors are interested in further increasing their long-term commitments as we have seen this week with the large U.A.E. delegation of firms and senior executives who are attending the SelectUSA Summit,” said DCM Goldrich.  “In fact, the U.A.E. delegation is twice the size of last year’s and is the largest delegation from the Middle East, with 20 participants representing more than twelve companies and four trade associations.”

President of the U.S.-U.A.E. Business Council, Danny Sebright, also said, “The SelectUSA Investment Summit provides an excellent opportunity for a win-win situation in which Emirati investors realize healthy returns while spurring job creation and job growth right here in the U.S.” “The U.S. remains a safe, transparent, destination for FDI.”

Following the discussion, private-sector U.S. stakeholders were given an opportunity to ask questions regarding the overall investment climate between the two countries. Sebright concluded the morning roundtable by thanking DCM Goldrich and the business community for joining the discussion.
