The event will take place on the margins of Arab Health 2013 in Dubai and feature remarks and a discussion with William M. Peacock, III, Chief Operating Officer of Cleveland Clinic. Mr. Peacock will speak about the Cleveland Clinic’s experience in operating abroad in the Middle East and the dynamics of partnership models for U.S. companies operating in the Emirates’ public and private healthcare sector. Bill has served as the Chief of Operations for The Cleveland Clinic since 2009. He joined the Clinic in 2005 and served in a variety of construction and operational support roles across the Clinic enterprise.

Before joining The Cleveland Clinic, he served 24 years in the United States Navy, retiring as a Captain in the Civil Engineer Corps. Bill held two major commands; one in Japan where he managed the facilities, construction and real estate needs of Navy and Marine Corps forces across the Pacific Rim. The second was leading a battalion of naval construction force “Seabees” in several deployments to Pacific, Middle East, and Central and South American nations. Bill worked at the Pentagon on the Chief of Naval Operations staff during the critical periods before and after 9/11. His earliest Navy assignment was piloting the A7E Corsair. He earned a Legion of Merit from the U.S. Department of Defense.

Bill is a member of the American Society of Healthcare Executives, the American Society of Healthcare Engineers. He graduated with a Master’s of Science in Electrical Engineering from Purdue University and a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the U.S. Naval Academy. He attended the Kellogg School’s Advanced Executive Program.
