The United Arab Emirates (U.A.E.) remains the United States’ top export destination for the entire Middle East & North Africa (MENA) region for the seventh year in a row, according to the Census Bureau’s Foreign Trade Division at the U.S. Department of Commerce.
The U.S. and the U.A.E. shared $25.44 billion in overall total trade in 2015—an increase of 2.24% ($559 million) from 2014.
The report also indicates that total U.S. exports to the U.A.E.reached $22.98 billion—4.12% ($909.9 million) more than2014’s numbers.
While total 2015 U.A.E. exports to the U.S. decreased to $2.5 billion—a decrease of 12.5% since 2014 ($351.3million) less than 2014’s numbers.
The highest month for U.S. exports to the U.A.E. last year was September 2015 at $2.3 billion, which was +12.8% higher than September 2014.
2015 U.S. export numbers to the U.A.E. continued to exceed outgoing American products to other key regional trade partners last year, including: Kingdom of Saudi Arabia ($19.69 billion), India ($21.53 billion), Israel ($13.56 billion), Turkey ($9.56 billion), and Egypt ($4.75 billion).
