The U.S.-U.A.E. Business Council’s Danny Sebright was in Los Angeles, California on Wednesday, October 29th to moderate a discussion on ‘How to Do Business in the United Arab Emirates’, hosted by the Los Angeles Business Journal and Etihad Airways. Sebright was accompanied by a distinguished panel of American and Emirati though leaders, including: Consulate of the U.A.E. in Los Angeles Consul General His Excellency Abdulla Alsaboosi, Embassy of the U.A.E. in Washington, D.C. Trade & Commercial Office Chief of Staff Talal Al Kaissi, Paul Hastings Partner Hamilton Loeb, AECOM Chief Executive-Middle Ease David Barwell, and Alessi Facial Institute Founder Dr. David Alessi.
Following a keynote presentation on the overall U.S.-U.A.E. relationship and ties between the Emirates and California by H.E. Alsaboosi, the panel of experts covered key topics outlining strategies for successful business between American and Emirati firms. Panelists also emphasized the current strength and future potential of the U.S.-U.A.E. relationship through the economic, commercial, and trade lens.
During the program, over 150 business executives from the Los Angeles area and followers on Twitter were given the opportunity to ask the panel questions about doing business in the U.A.E. Question topics covered the status of the U.A.E.’s corporate infrastructure, plans to innovate and develop industries, opportunities for regional operations in the broader Middle East North Africa region, and the impact of regional politics on business and travel to the U.A.E.
